This is just an informational post to let you know that Informant 5.44 has a bug that will lock users out of the application after install and the restore purchase function will not work.

We have identified and fixed the issue and have sent the update to Apple for approval and release.  We have further requested an expedited review to get the application released sooner.  On that front that is all that we can do at this time.

This particular bug was not something that could be tested in beta or via internal testing which is how it made its way to release. We do sincerely apologize for any inconvenience that this has caused for any of you and we appreciate your patience.   We have taken steps to make sure that this does not happen again.   In the meantime you can use the following workaround to unlock the application for you.

Go to and create a TRIAL Informant sync account. If your email address reports that the email already exists vary it by a letter or digit to create the account (it doesn’t have to be an active email address for this).

Once the account is created go to the Informant application, settings, accounts and add the Informant Sync account and tap begin sync.

This will unlock the application for you while we work on the issue.

This is just a workaround, you DO NOT need to assign ANY data to the sync service unless you choose to do so.

If for some reason this does not unlock the application please DO NOT  RESPOND HERE instead please open a case to support for the fastest response and we can provide an alternate unlock method for you.

4시간 여만에 PI는 오류를 인정 했고, 수정본을 스토어에 접수 했다는 공지문을 발표했다. 

그런데, 실수를 인정하며, 임시 해결 방안으로 내놓은 방식이, Informant Sync 계정을 만들어 서버쪽에 연동된 구매정보로 락 해제를 하라는 것인데, Informant Sync는 외부 개발사 서버를 이용하는 방식이라 개발사에서 필요에 따라서는 데이터 모니링을 할 수 있다는 것으로 인해 일부러 이용하지 않고 있는 기능이다. 전세계 사용자들간 데이터 모니터링과 관련해 이야기 되기도 했었다. Informant Sync 계정을 늘려 놓게 된다면, 그것은 이후 활용할 수 있는 기회가 된다.
